Our Mission

To revitalize Northfield, Vermont by rebuilding the greater area community physically, economically, and socially in coordination with local institutions with a goal to promote sustainable commerce and increased population.

Our BOARD

Kahwa Douoguih is a technology entrepreneur who loves to build things, whether businesses or trails. Her earliest fond memories are about the summers she spent in her family home on Rabbit Hollow Road. In 2016 she decided to make this home her permanent residence and moved to Northfield from Denver, CO.

Jason Endres has 20 years' experience in art and design. He has designed for a wide range of clients, and his skills include design direction, branding, digital imaging, art direction, information architecture, graphic design and branding.

David Feinauer is an Assistant Professor of Electrical and Computer Engineering and Freshman Engineering Program Coordinator at Norwich University. His scholarly work includes incorporating Innovation and Entrepreneurship (I&E) principles in engineering curricula and automation and control theory. David serves as Vermont State Partner for First Lego League (FLL).

Annee Newton Giard is a Graphic Designer in the Office of Communications at Norwich University, as well as a freelance designer and creative consultant. She has over eleven years of experience in the design industry with clients ranging from small local businesses to nationally-recognized corporations.

Kaitlyn Keating has three years' legal experience in Vermont, and has a J.D. from Vermont Law School. She has been recognized with the Presidents' Leadership Award, Campus Compact of New Hampshire (2008) and has more than a decade of community service and leadership.

Lindsay Cahill Lord works in the Office of Communications at Norwich University, where she provides project management and support for marketing initiatives and university flagship events. Lindsay is also the Director of Communications for the nonprofit Vermont Young Professionals.

Carolyn Stevens is a retired CPA who has lived in Northfield with her family and husband John since 1979. She practiced in Burlington for a number of years at Herrick Ltd. CPAs before establishing a practice in Northfield prior to retirement. She has been active in the community in a number of capacities and served on Northfield's town-village merger committee.

 

 


We moved to Northfield because of a job offer and stayed in Northfield because of all of the opportunities it offers. This town is truly the gem of Central Vermont.

What We've Achieved

  • Had our first birthday in January 2017.
  • Received 501c3 nonprofit status.
  • 2016 Night on the Common with five community partners.
  • Created a new brand for Northfield with community input. 
  • Presented to Northfield's Selectboard in July 2017.
  • Planning the 2nd Annual Night on the Common in September 2017.
